The artist is now a traveller who constantly passes through the borders existing between form and medium.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/surfacearts.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/line-4.jpg\" width=\"465\" height=\"131\" \/><\/p>\n<p>During her time in residence Hawker will be developing a twinning project between artists working in Thailand and the UK. The collaborative project involves the creative interpretation of words. Each day, for one month, a randomly generated word will be given as inspiration to all artists to produce a reaction.<\/p>\n<p>All the artists will use the internet and display work on the blog\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/surfacearts.co.uk\/coming-soon-art-tourist-ukthailand-exchange\/\">www.arttourist.surfacearts.co.uk<\/a>. The project will be part of an exhibition at Chiang Mai University Art Centre in October.
